While we wait...

For his family to find him, we've started crate training!

Last night was the first night in his own crate, and he did fabulous! He gave us very little fuss about the whole thing, and then it was a great surprise to find him dry this morning!

Standard Doodle Pup Ready To Go!

We had a litter of standard doodles born Sept 29 to Katie & BJ.

We have one male available & ready to go! He is black, and weighed 9.5 pounds at his vet visit last week. We estimate he will get to the 60 pound range.

He will enjoy lots of walks and years of playing fetch. If you are interested, please call me today at 478-757-8343.

This story hit home ;)

An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard.I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of. He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head; He then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the Hall, curled up in the corner and fell asleep.

An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out.
The next day he was back, greeted me in my yard, walked inside and resumed his spot in the hall and again slept for about an hour.
This continued off and on for several weeks.
Curious I pinned a note to his collar: 'I would like to find out who the owner of this wonderful sweet dog is and ask if you are aware that almost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.'
The next day he arrived for his nap, with a different note pinned to his collar:
'He lives in a home with 6 children, 2 under the age of 3 - he's trying to catch up on his sleep.'
Can I come with him tomorrow?'

Miley is home!

Miley made her first airplane trip to her forever home today. It was really hard to say goodbye to her, but it literally made my day when I got the first text from the family that said, " She was a real trooper. She came out smiling and jumped all over us like a little doll! She is beautiful and a real love."

They already sent me some pictures ( yay! yay! yay!) and a note that said, "We LOVE her."

This makes it all worth it! Thank you & Congratulations to the Horton-Drivas family and Miss Macon "Miley" Smiley!

All tuckered out...

It's THE big day, puppies can start going home!!

This is white ribbon all tuckered out after a morning of playtime and bathtime. Her family is on their way to get her, so she is just resting up so she'll have lots of energy to wag that tail later.

She is so precious, we're gonna miss her!

Lavendar Ribbon met her family too!

Look at this baby, she fell asleep at the buffet! LOL

6 weeks old

The puppies are doing great! They have been sleeping through the night for over a week now, which is a really big deal. We are so grateful, you will be too! ;) lol

They are completely off Mommy's milk and are eating all hard food & doing great drinking water from the pail like big kids too!

A few more steps closer to going to their forever homes... *sniff sniff*

Here is a picture of pink ribbon girl snuggling in with Mark... isn't she just a doll?

They licked the platter clean!

They had a ball getting their first taste of food. As a matter of fact, green ribbon sassed us as we were taking her away! She wanted more, little piggie :P

They loved it so much, they were licking the plate clean before trying to eat the plate!

Wanna see them in action? Take a peak at this-

P.S. Thank you Grandma for the magic bullet, works like a charm!

The Sunday funnies

Well, it will be Sunday in 47 minutes anyway ;)
Hope it makes you smile!

Why It's Great to be a Dog

If it itches, you can reach it. And no matter where it itches, no one will be offended if you scratch it in public.
No one notices if you have hair growing in weird places as you get older.
Personal hygiene is a blast: No one expects you to take a bath every day, and you don't even have to comb your own hair.
Having a wet nose is considered a sign of good health.
No one thinks less of you for passing gas. Some people might actually think you're cute.
Who needs a big home entertainment system? A bone or an old shoe can entertain you for hours.
You can spend hours just smelling stuff.
No one ever expects you to pay for lunch or dinner. You never have to worry about table manners, and if you gain weight, it's someone else's fault.
It doesn't take much to make you happy. You're always excited to see the same old people. All they have to do is leave the room for five minutes and come back.
Every garbage can looks like a cold buffet to you.

Individual pictures- last but not least!

This is black ribbon, handsome as can be!

Individual pictures- more!

Yellow & white ribbon, lovely little ladies!

Have you picked a favorite yet?

Indvidual pictures- again!

Here are blue & pink ribbon. More pretty girls!

Individual pictures- 1 month

Green & Lavendar ribbon. Two beautiful girls!

One Month aleady!

Today is the puppies ONE MONTH birthday!

We marked the occasion with a photo shoot! It was a piece of cake, really easy and completly under control at all times!

Getting 7 puppies to say cheese in unision is... well, impossible. We think we did a pretty good job though. We also took some individuals which will be in the next few post.

Enjoy!

Whoa, that is one handsome dood!

Isn't he just perfect?! He is such a sweet, happy- go-lucky little fellow. Many times when we check on them, we find him under one of the girls, and he seems to take it in stride. Guess that is a good thing since he is the only boy with 6 sisters! LOL

He is SO soft, and has awesome wave already on his ears. He is still available & will make someone an awesome little buddy!

It's bathtime for the puppies!

Here is green ribbon getting her first bath. They all really loved it and did really, really great!

We're back in action

Last week my Mother got very sick, and was admitted into the ICU after being life flighted to a bigger medical center. It has been scary and we have been doing a lot of praying. Mom is now home from the hospital, and my Dad said last night she even unloaded the dishwasher! Praise the Lord!

It has also been a HUGE week for puppies. They all have eyes and ears open, and are walking & climbing all over the place! All of a sudden, they look like little doggies!

Here is a picture of yellow ribbon girl, who climbed up on the pig rails and fell asleep, it was precious and I CAUGHT IT ON CAMERA!! LOL

Hope you enjoy-

Dogs

"You can say any fool thing to a dog, and the dog will give you this look that says, `My God, you're RIGHT! I NEVER would've thought of that!'" - Dave Barry

Need to pick out props, these puppies are almost ready for their close-ups!

These puppies are changing SO fast! All of a sudden they have LOTS of fur and we can see eyes starting to open! Their little paws and noses are turning black and they are just looking so cute! As soon as their eyes are open all the way, we will feel comfortable taking individual pictures. I know you are all dying to see them ;)
Funny thing we have observed already. Yellow ribbon, like in the last two litters, is the most outgoing! She is already trying to walk around and she can't even see yet! LOL. Isn't that funny that we randomly assign ribbon color, but the spunkiest color seemed to land on the spunkiest of the bunch- three times?

* If you have a contract out, please get it back to us as soon as possible. As always, we will not hold a puppy without deposit and contract in our hands, and as of today we have more than half of the litter sold.

Puppy video

Here is a video I took with my cell waiting for the vet to come in today. Only a few seconds, but every one of them precious!!

24 hrs, 48 hrs... whatever, it's a blur!

But boy this is fun, lol.

Lucy and pups are doing really well. They had their dew claws removed today and did just great. Lucy handled the move to and from the vet with so much grace, I swear at one point she was smiling! I think she was showing off just a little ;)

Here are a few pics we've taken, hope you enjoy the peek! Several deposits are already in, so if you are interested, don't delay too long. These pups are going fast!

I *think* we're done

Our sweet Lucy did so good today. Six girls, One boy, all healthy & gorgious!

Looks like we are going to have 2 cream girls, 4 light apricot girls, and 1 light apricot boy. All weighed in between 10-14 oz. which is pretty perfect! They are all nursing now and Lucy is resting. We are pretty sure she is done, but could always get a surprise so we will hang pretty close for the next couple hours.

Here is a picture of them all resting.... better ones will come in the next few days, I promise.

Good thing that last post was short & sweet

because I practically threw the laptop to deliver another GIRL.
Five girls, One boy... if he doesn't get a brother, he's gonna be one spoiled little man! LOL

Two more...

GIRLS! They are so PRETTY too! Pictures coming soon, I promise!
What a way to spend a Saturday morning, we feel so lucky!

The puppies are coming! The puppies are coming!

Lucy started delivering this morning around 7:30. It's a boy! It's a girl! It's a girl! so far...
She is doing great, and the puppies look fantastic! Really pretty puppies, we are loving the colors.
We'll keep you posted as more come ( yay for wireless!)

Painting the Nursery ;)

Seems like we are all feeling some "nesting pains" as Lucy's next litter gets close.

The whelping box got a few improvements and a new paint job. WooHoo!
Here is Mark getting started ( Thanks Honey!).
We are ready for babies now! They should be here in the next week-10 days!

Even doggies need a vacation!

We love getting pictures!
This little girl, Chloe, was yellow ribbon in Betsy's second litter (yorkie). Isn't she a doll?

She looks like she is on quite the adventure! It is so great to see our puppies being loved so much!

What a cutie!

This is Lily.. she was green ribbon in Lucy's last litter. Her family says she is doing quite well housetraining, and was enjoying some good spoiling! They sent a picture of her in her Christmas sweater- which she has already outgrown! LOL

* Thanks so much for the update Alex!

Who's yo baby's Daddy?

His name is Ziggy! He belongs to my SIL's breeding program and is a favorite of theirs. As a matter of fact, his registered name is "Mariah's little Ziggy" and our dog Lucy's registered name is "Maggie loves Lucy", so we expect some pretty sweet pups from them!

He are some important facts about him:

Ziggy is an AKC registered apricot miniature Poodle who has been fully tested. His hips are OFA "Excellent", elbows OFA"normal", patellas OFA"normal", eyes CERF, SA and vWD clear. We expect their puppies to range from light apricot to dark red and have a loose wavy coat.
